Public Beliefs about Mass Shootings

In this project, I show that between 2010-2020, Muslim mass shooters received more media coverage than comparable non-Muslim shooters. Using experiments and survey data, I then show that this increased coverage leads the public to overestimate the proportion of mass shooters who are Muslim.
